Muay Thai or Thai boxing is a combat sport that originates from Thailand. It uses stand-up striking along with various clinching techniques. This physical and mental discipline is known as “the art of eight limbs” because it is characterized by the combined use of following strikes punches, elbows, knees, and kicks. Muay Thai is associated with a good physical conditioning that makes for very efficient combative sports athletes. All skill levels are welcome!

brazilian jiu jitsu

Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu is a martial arts and combat sport style that focuses on grappling and especially ground fighting. Brazilian Jiu jitsu principle is that a smaller, weaker person can successfully defend themselves against a bigger, stronger assailant by using leverage and proper technique. Brazilian Jiu jitsu can be trained for self-defense or sport competition such as grappling tournaments or Mixed Martial Arts competitions.

Thai Cardio is a cardio specific class which is completed through intervals on a punching bag and through accessory exercises. The class is built to encourage high intensity training while still practicing the basic Muay Thai skills. The goal is to just keep moving. This 45 minute class is a great addition to anyone's week! We welcome all skill levels.

Mixed martial arts (MMA) is a full-contact combat sport that allows both striking and grappling, both standing and on the ground, using techniques from combat sports and martial arts. It is essential to be training in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu as well as Muay Thai if you would like to consider MMA as it uses key components of both styles.

BOOTCAMPS

Bootcamps are a great way to get in shape with like minded individuals. Our bootcamps welcome all fitness levels and help to improve strength, agility and cardiovascular health. Our goal through this interval style of training is to burn calories and build a happy and healthy heart in a friendly environment.
